1) If I mail you my book, will you send it back?
I would answer that question with another question. Do most reviewers send them back? I know that POD books are stupidly expensive on the retail side for a whack of reasons so if you are really nice to me and I REALLY like your book, I will send it back assuming you cover the postage.
2) Why do I have to query?
Because if your query sucks monkeybutt, it's entirely possible that your book does too. Make sense? Look, a query is about SELLING your book. If your book is published, presumably you would like to SELL a few jillion copies, so sell me on your story and I will read it. Prrrretty basic!
3) Do you have a rating system for books?
Yes. Books that don't melt my eyeballs get stars. Five stars means you are Hemingway. Five raspberries means your book is possessed by Mephistopheles and we need to call an exorcist.
4) What kinds of books will you review?
Anything but memoirs. Also, your book HAS to be published by either a POD or an E-Book/POD publisher.
5) Will you review books that you disliked and purposefully write a bad review?
Ummmm, how about this? I will review your book and if it sucks ass, I will say so. If it doesn't, then great! I will shout it from the rooftops!
I would prefer a PRINTED book and that means, yer gonna have to mail it to me.
If you have an e-book, I will review it (along with the cover art) but it will have to be a PURCHASED (meaning I DON'T want your manuscript) copy of your book. Best way to do this is for you to PURCHASE a gift certificate from your online bookseller and email it to me along with the title of your book.
BUT WAIT... THERE'S MORE!
In the wonderful world of publishing, there's this thing called a query letter. If you don't know what a query letter is, don't email me because that's writing 101. I would prefer to receive actual query letters for either POD books or E-books.
